An Evening of Art and Conversation with Professor Jim Morone

  • 68 Kinnerton Street London, England, SW1X 8ER United Kingdom (map)

Professor James Morone will talk about his new book called Republic of Wrath: How American Politics turned Tribal from Washington to Trump and Beyond. In this engaging past year of history, we learn what’s new (and what’s not) in the angry politics of the present day. How and why did Donald Trump manage to capture American politics? How did he win such passionate loyalty and passionate loathing? And how and why does all that the angry politics in the US reflect the angry politics in Britain?

Join us for a look at the unexpected past, the dangerous present, and the illusive promise of a brighter future.

James Morone is the John Hazen White Professor of Political Science, Public Policy and Urban Studies at Brown University. Of all his awards, Morone is proudest of his five Hazeltine Citations voted him by graduating seniors as the teacher that most inspired them.
